Seneca Systems, Inc. is a systems, solutions and technical services company founded in 1989.
Our clients include public sector (U.S Government, State and local) as well as private sector businesses (large multi-national corporations to small entrepreneural startups)
and non-profit organizations.
History
Originally specializing in the Ingres RDMS, Seneca Systems developed many successful
mission critical applications using Ingres ABF and OpenROAD running on Digital VAX/VMS,
Sun Solaris and Microsoft Windows platforms. In 1993 we joined the Microsoft Windows
NT developer program, which evolved into the Microsoft Developer Network,
and have been a member at the highest level continuously since its inception. In
1998 we transitioned our development focus to Microsoft
SQL Server as our DBMS of choice and Microsoft Visual Studio as the preferred IDE. When the Microsoft .NET
Framework rolled out in 2000 we quickly developed expertise in Windows Forms and ADO.NET. We also pursued the new business
intelligence offerings of SQL Server 2000 and were among a selected group of companies
to receive an invitation to and attend the first Microsoft Business Intelligence
Boot Camp, BI 2000. We rolled out our first .NET and BI related project in 2001,
a custom application for a government transportation agency.
In 2004 Seneca Systems released its first commercial software products which centered around the
needs of our varied client base. As a customer focused company, we have continued
to revise existing products and create new ones based on the needs of our customers. Increasingly we found that building applications with Microsoft
products and tools provided significant leverage to rapidly create and maintain
the robust, reliable software solutions our customers required. This led us to become
a Microsoft Partner in 2005. In 2006 we expanded our expertise to include dynamic
data visualization utilizing Microsoft's Visio product. We achieved the ISV Software
Solutions compentency in the Microsoft Partner Program in 2007.

Seneca Systems, Inc. is a Microsoft Certified Partner with a specialization in ISV
(Independent Software Vendor) and Software Solutions. To attain partner status an
organization must demonstrate a high level of knowledge with one or more Microsoft
technologies and provide customer references to attest to that expertise. ISV/Software
Solutions compentency is bestowed on partner organizations who have, in addition
to the partner requirements, successfully developed and deployed a software
product that has been certified by an independent testing laboratory. |

The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium is a non-profit
organization recognized as the gold standard for information systems
security certifications. Seneca Systems, Inc. staff holds one or more certifications
from this prestigious
organization which requires extensive testing, background checks
and documented real world experience. |

The Professional Association for SQL Server is a non-profit organization dedicated
to serving the needs of the Microsoft SQL Server community. Seneca Systems, Inc.
has been a member since the organization was founded. |
